The Royal Oak at Yattendon combines the character and charm of a historic country inn at the heart of a pretty Berkshire village, with a modern and international dining experience.
This is more than just great food – it’s about the spectacle and theatre of seeing your meal prepared before your eyes. Food is served throughout the day – from beautiful hotel breakfasts, through lunch and afternoon tea to dinner. We are even reinventing the Sunday carvery! We also remain a true country pub with a selection of local real ales and fine wines — and a loyal community following.
Our head chef’s ethos is simple – the very best ingredients, cooked simply, cooked well. Dishes show off the diverse array of flavours from the British countryside, often with an inventive twist. With our new orangery and open kitchen, we also offer a modern, international flavour – from steak cooked the Argentinian way to pizza and fish infused with an aromatic crunch.
Our new conference facility has all the bespoke luxury and supporting technology that our corporate customers expect, and for longer business stays there are ten, luxury hotel rooms onsite. If your stay is more pleasure than business we have a fantastic beauty salon next door who offer all of our guests 10% off of any treatment booked.
The Royal Oak is easily accessible from either Junction 12 or 13 on the M4. The pub is ideally situated whether you are coming from London, Newbury, Reading, Windsor or Henley, and is also en route to the West Country, Wales, Oxford and the Cotswolds.
Unfortunately, we aren’t only any public transport routes.
